Today learned about the services of Wheels4Hope from Adriane Singleton, who started the nonprofit seven years ago to help people in need of transportation to keep stable employment. The group accepts donations of cars, repairs them and provides them to applicants, who pay $500 plus the $160 title fee and taxes. Wheels4Hope also stands behind each car, providing a six-month warranty.

Today members of Rotary learned about the work of the Guilford County Family Justice Center from our guest, Catherine Johnson, who has been its director since its inception. The FJC was formed after Guilford County had the state's highest rate of domestic homicide. It is designed to provide a single place to go to find coordinated collaborative services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child maltreatment, and elder abuse.

Think like a Rotary Peace Fellow
-
"There are many pathways to peace, and in Rotary, we are fortunate to have Rotary Peace Fellows who demonstrate this truth time and again. Each year, Rotary awards up to 130 fellowships for leaders around the world to study peace and development, and what these peace fellows learn prepares them to work in conflict prevention and resolution and promote Positive Peace."
